Spenser Wipperfurth graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a secondary major in Spanish Literature. She is back in school as a PhD student after a Peace Corps service in Peru and couple years of work in Water Resources engineering in Minnesota. Her research focus is on natural mitigation strategies, modeling, and coastal protection. When not studying, Spenser can be found outside on a run, on her bike, in a lake, and with her friends. She loves Peruvian food and root beer.
