Computational Biogeochemistry, Ocean and Climate Dynamics
Qi graduated from Xiamen University and obtained a B.S. in Ocean Science and Master of Science in Marine Biology. During her master study, she focused on phytoplankton reaction to global change and ocean acidification resulting from the dissolution of increasing atmospheric CO2 by means of theoretical model estimation and data analyses. In her Ph.D. period she will quantify the spatio-temporal linkages between physical climate and ocean biogeochemical variables by ocean modeling. Her goal is to explore causes, mechanisms and consequences of global and climate change, and then put forward effective countermeasures and management for conservation by future prediction.
